What is the difference between Matterport, Zillow 3D Home, and standard 360 tours?
Matterport is a premium "digital twin" featuring the interactive Dollhouse View and built-in measurement tools—ideal for luxury listings and detailed exploration. However, Matterport tours no longer display on Zillow due to a dispute between Zillow and Matterport's parent company, CoStar. They still work on your website, MLS, Realtor.com, Redfin, and Homes.com.
Zillow 3D Home is the only 3D tour option that displays natively on Zillow, providing Showcase badge eligibility and priority placement in Zillow search results. If Zillow visibility is a priority, this is the way to go.
Standard 360 tours are platform-independent and work everywhere—your website, MLS, social media, and any portal without restrictions. They're a flexible option when you want broad compatibility without being tied to a specific ecosystem.
What is a "Dollhouse View"?
The Dollhouse View is an interactive 3D model that lets buyers see the entire home's layout from the outside looking in. It's the clearest way to understand how rooms connect and visualize the property's flow. This feature is available with both our Matterport tours and our standard 360 tours.
How much does a 3D tour cost and is hosting included?
3D tours start at $150. Matterport tours include 6 months of hosting. Zillow 3D Home tours are hosted by Zillow for the life of the listing. Standard 360 tours include 12 months of hosting with renewal options. View our Pricing Guide for square footage tiers and package details.
Can I use the 3D tour on the MLS?
Yes. We provide both branded (for social media and your website) and unbranded (for MLS compliance) versions of your tour, so you can market across all platforms without restriction.
Which 3D tour option should I choose?
It depends on where you market and what features matter most.
Choose Zillow 3D Home if Zillow is your primary marketing platform—it's the only 3D tour that displays on Zillow and qualifies for Showcase placement.
Choose Matterport if you market primarily on Homes.com or want premium features like built-in measurement tools for luxury or complex properties. Just keep in mind that Matterport tours won't display on Zillow.
Choose a standard 360 tour if you want maximum flexibility—it works everywhere (MLS, Zillow, Realtor.com, Redfin, Homes.com, your website) without platform restrictions. It also includes Dollhouse View, so you're not sacrificing that feature.

How long does it take to scan a property?
Scanning typically takes 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the home's size. We capture every room, hallway, and key feature to ensure a complete, seamless tour experience.
What is the turnaround time for 3D tours?
3D tours are typically delivered within 48-72 hours after the scan, fully processed and ready to share.
Can you add a floor plan to my 3D tour?
Yes. We offer interactive floor plans that can be bundled with your 3D tour. Buyers can click rooms on the floor plan to jump directly to that location in the tour. This is included in our Zillow Showcase package or available as an add-on.
What happens after the hosting period ends?
For Matterport and standard 360 tours, we'll reach out before your hosting expires with renewal options. If the listing has sold and you no longer need the tour, simply let it expire—no action required.
Can 3D tours be used for commercial properties?
Yes. 3D tours are effective for office spaces, retail locations, event venues, and other commercial properties. Reach out with your project details and we'll provide a custom quote.
Can you link aerial 360 panoramas to my 3D home tour?
Yes. We can connect aerial 360 views directly to your interior tour, creating a seamless ground-to-sky experience. Buyers can explore the home, then jump to an aerial view to see the neighborhood, lot, and surroundings—all in one interface.
