01 | Booking

How booking works.

Six questions

How do I book a shoot?

Book online, any time. Pick your shoot, see your price, and place the order. Prefer to talk? Call 512-400-4205.

How soon can you shoot my listing? Do you take rush jobs?

Check the live schedule on our booking page. You can book any open time as little as 12 hours ahead, so yes, rush jobs are fine. Don't see the time you want? Text or email us and we'll put you on the waitlist. If someone reschedules, you're first in line.

Can I change my package after I book?

Yes. Let us know at least 48 hours before the shoot, since changes can affect how long we need on site. Add-ons that don't change our time there, like virtual staging, can be added before or after the shoot.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You can cancel or reschedule any time. Give us at least 24 hours' notice and there's no fee. Inside 24 hours it's $150, on the day of the shoot it's $200, and once we're on site it's $250. Bad weather never costs you a fee. If we show up and the house isn't ready, we'll reschedule. Trust us on this one. A cluttered house never photographs well, and a listing that looks rough online sits longer than the fee is worth.

What if the listing goes on hold?

No problem. We can take the shoot off the calendar until you're ready, or cancel it and refund your payment. When it's back on, just book again.

What if the weather's bad?

If rain is on the way, we'll reach out about rescheduling. Rain hurts exterior photos and can flatten the interiors too. The drone can't fly in any rain, and high wind can ground it. Nobody controls the weather, so there's no fee to reschedule for it. We just ask that you stay flexible, since we're moving other clients around too.

02 | Shoot day

The day of the shoot.

Five questions

Do I need to be at the shoot?

No. You're welcome to stay and watch, or just get out of the office for a bit. If you're not there, we need a way in: a lockbox code, a door code, or the 7-digit CBS code for a Supra box. We're a contractor, not an agent, so we can't open a Supra box on our own. Gated community? Send the gate code. Shooting the pool, gym or clubhouse? We may need a key fob.

Do you shoot occupied homes?

Yes. If the homeowner is home, we shoot their office first so they have somewhere to hang out until we're done. It's usually easier if they step out, though, especially for 360 tours like Matterport and Zillow Showcase. The 360 camera sees everything, and those can't be edited like regular photos.

What about pets?

Pets are fine. We'll just ask that they hang out in one room so nobody photobombs a shot. That matters most for 360 tours, which can't be edited like regular photos.

How should the seller get the home ready?

Download our free Photo Shoot Checklist and send it to your sellers. Questions? Reach out and we'll help. One quick tip: if you're wondering whether something should go, it should go. Less is always better.

How long does a shoot take?

Anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of the house and what you order. The order form shows the estimated time for your whole shoot before you book.

03 | Photos

Two ways to shoot.

Six questions

What's the difference between Signature Flash and HDR photos?

Signature Flash is our hand-blended flash and natural light look. We use a combination of ambient light and flashes to relight the room, and it's delivered in two business days. HDR combines multiple exposures of the same room into one photo, so the highlights and the shadows are both captured. It's clean, bright, and ready for MLS, delivered the next business day at a lower price. No photo limits on either one.

Is there a limit on photos?

No. Every house is different, so we shoot until you have every photo you need to sell it. The one exception is lease listings, which include 15 to 35 photos depending on size, so we can keep the price down for owners and agents. Need more? Extra lease photos are $8 each.

How long until I get my photos and video?

HDR photos are ready the next business day by evening. Signature Flash photos are edited by hand and ready in two business days by evening, or add Next-Day Rush for $50. Video takes 3 to 4 business days.

Do you do twilight photos?

Yes, two ways. Golden Hour Twilight is $200: we shoot on site at dusk. Digital Twilight is $35: we turn a daytime exterior into dusk in editing.

Can you fix something after delivery?

Yes. We often do light touch ups on our own for free, because we'd rather not hand over a photo with something distracting in it. For bigger retouching, we'll talk through what you want and send a quote.

How do I download my files?

You'll get an email with a download link. You can also log in to your account, find the shoot under "Listings" and download from there. Pick MLS/Web Ready for MLS and online. Print Ready files are much bigger. They won't work on MLS and they'll slow down a website.

04 | Video and tours

Photos get the click. Video brings in the buyers who want to see more.

Five questions

What kinds of video do you shoot?

Horizontal video for MLS, YouTube, and your website. Vertical video for social. The Social Media Highlight runs about 45 seconds.

Can I use the video on MLS?

Yes. The Elevated MLS Tour has no agent branding, so it works on MLS, Zillow, and email.

Do I have to be on camera?

No. Realtor On-Camera is there for agents who want it. If you do, we write the script.

Are you approved for Zillow Showcase?

Yes. We're approved to shoot Zillow Showcase listings.

Matterport or Zillow 3D Tour: which one should I get?

It comes down to reach or quality. Matterport is the most accurate and looks the best, hands down. It costs more, though, and it can't be used on Zillow. If reach matters most, go with the Zillow 3D Tour, since Zillow is where buyers shop for homes. The quality isn't as good. Pick what fits your listing.

05 | Drone

The lot and the neighborhood.

Four questions

Are you licensed to fly?

Yes. FAA Part 107 certified.

How many drone photos do I get?

Unlimited drone photos of the property and the lot. That's the Aerial Mini, and the packages that include drone photos give the same. Land and ranch is priced by acreage.

Can you fly in my neighborhood?

We check airspace and altitude limits before every flight, and we don't fly anything restricted or against FAA regulations.

Do drone photos show the property lines?

Yes. Every drone shoot comes with property boundary lines drawn on the photos, so buyers can see exactly where the property starts and stops. A black-and-white survey doesn't show landmarks or terrain, so it's hard to picture from that alone.

06 | Pricing and payment

Every price, out in the open.

Eight questions

How much does real estate photography cost in Austin?

HDR | Photos starts at $209 and Signature | Flash Photos starts at $279, both for homes up to 1,000 sq ft. Land | Drone Photos starts at $199. Photos are priced by square footage and land is priced by acreage. Every shoot includes a property website. Type your square footage or acreage into the price builder to see your exact price.

How much is virtual staging?

$45 per photo. After the shoot, you pick the photos and the style, so nobody's guessing. Most people stage three: the living room, the primary bedroom, and one more space worth showing off. We keep the original photos, and you can hide them on the property website.

What does a reshoot cost?

It depends on how many rooms need a redo. A return trip starts at $150.

Is there a travel fee?

No travel fee within 50 miles of Cedar Park. 51 to 75 miles is $65, and 76 miles and up is $85.

What if the home is over 7,400 sq ft?

That's a custom quote. Call 512-400-4205 and we'll price it.

When do I pay?

Payment is due at booking. If your account is set up for invoicing, we bill you after the shoot.

Who pays for listing photos, the agent or the seller?

Whoever books the shoot pays for it, and that person is the only one licensed to use the photos and video to market the property.

Who owns the photos? Can I reuse them?

We keep the rights to every photo. They're licensed to the person who booked the shoot, for marketing the property. They can't be shared or passed along without our OK. The details are on our Terms page.
